Job Summary
Lead the Customer Service team of 5 to 7 employees and 3 to 5 contractors by prioritizing workloads, conducting performance reviews, and resolving escalated client issues. Ensure accurate and timely customer billing through shipment reconciliation while managing customer interactions to foster lasting relationships. Oversee training initiatives, design standardized procedures, and analyze operational statistics to meet weekly, monthly, and quarterly KPIs. Collaborate cross-functionally with senior leadership to align on corporate goals and maintain expertise in port and rail drayage services.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years' experience leading teams of 10+
- 10+ years experience managing Customer Service teams of 10 or more
- Four-year college or university degree
- minimum of ten years related experience
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage, and to draw and interpret bar graphs
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
- excellent Internet search capabilities
- knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite of Products
- Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
