Job Summary
Monitor customer calls and emails, schedule inbound and outbound carrier appointments, and manage open order and receipt reports to ensure compliance with agreed scope of work. Process inbound receipts and outbound orders, prepare invoices for customers and internal departments, and enter data into the warehouse management system for shipping documents and labels. Escalate non-standard services, bad debt concerns, and significant risks to product leadership or executive sponsors while educating customers on claims processes. Maintain customer contract binders, perform inventory NCR processes, and assist management with operational reporting and analytics.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree (A.A.) from a two-year college or technical school or equivalent work experience
- Two to three years' experience in a contract logistics/warehouse inventory role
- Two to three years' experience in Customer Service
- Knowledge of dealing with and scheduling LTL carriers
- Import and export experience
- Experience with billing functions
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Email, and Internet
- Proficient written and verbal communication skills in English
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as freight rates, discounts, and other percentages
- Knowledge of domestic transportation documentation
- Basics of inventory control
- Knowledge of third-party small parcel systems such as UPS and FedEx
Desired Qualifications
- FTZ/bonded facility knowledge
- Completion of any industry related course
- Associate's degree (A.A.) from a two-year college or technical school or equivalent work experience, or equivalent combination of education and work experience will be considered in lieu of educational requirement
- Experience in Customer Service preferred both in person and on the phone
- Import and export experience preferred
- Experience with billing functions strongly preferred
