Job Summary
Execute import/export work orders with timely accuracy, confirming port, rail, and customer data while managing container emails and verifying port availability. Provide proactive communication to internal and external customers regarding quotes, complaints, order maintenance, pickup/delivery schedules, and accessorial charges. Coordinate move assignments and asset utilization with the dispatch team to ensure safe, on-time delivery, while tracking freight, notifying clients of capacity, and maintaining all relevant customer records. Manage daily clerical operations including telephone, email, and document processing to support team efficiency.
Required Qualifications
- 1-2 years of experience in dispatching
- prior experience working with port drivers and/ or maritime industry
- Must be reliable and able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to multi-task
- Must be able to work under pressure
