Job Summary
Inside Sales and Customer Service role for Industrial Supply in Kalamazoo, MI: provide outstanding service to customers and support to outside sales managers; answer phone calls and respond to technical inquiries on products or systems; assist customers in finding components via product catalogs and web/internal resources; prepare detailed quotations by computing price, discount, and shipping charges per company guidelines; enter customer orders into the ERP system with a goal of 100% accuracy; expedite orders to meet delivery dates; communicate with Service Technicians, Outside Sales Managers, and manufacturers reps to resolve technical problems; assist Outside Sales with quoting, expediting, and customer visits; follow up on quotes and undertake outbound calls to support the sales team; continuously develop sales and technical skills to up-sell or cross-sell to customers.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year College or technical school
- 2+ years of customer service or inside sales experience, industrial distribution or adjacent industry preferred
