Job Summary
Greet customers with a smile, learn their names, and make every interaction positive while handling a wide variety of transactions accurately. Weigh postal packages, run mail through meters, and process certified, express, UPS, registered, and insured mail. Sell Western Union orders, faxes, money orders, and cash payroll, personal, ADC, and social security checks. Sell hunting and fishing licenses, process utility refunds, and assist with dry cleaning and bottle refunds. Answer the telephone, use the intercom system, and operate lottery machines to sell and redeem tickets. Maintain a clean, organized work area, remove trash, and adhere strictly to personal hygiene, dress standards, and store guidelines. Report to work when scheduled and on time.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent experience
- Ability to safely use sharp knives and blades for food preparation
- Exposure to heat- and burn-related hazards associated with cooking, baking, or grilling equipment
- Ability to operate a delivery vehicle in accordance with applicable DOT standards
- Ability to perform repetitive standing, walking, reaching, and bending associated with order fulfillment, POS transactions, and cleaning/sanitation duties
- Employment contingent upon the successful completion of a pre employment drug screen
