Customer Service- Cashier

Process customer transactions accurately at the checkout lane while greeting, assisting, and thanking every customer in a prompt, courteous manner. Record items at correct prices, verify identification for alcohol purchases, and follow strict cash handling procedures to maintain acceptable over/short records. Participate in bagging orders, checking registers for missed items, and controlling shrink through accurate ringing and theft awareness. Notify managers of customer inquiries, price errors, UPC issues, or security concerns, and ensure work areas remain clean and hazard-free. Return carts and baskets, assist in training new associates, and adapt to scheduled roles including Service Clerk or Self-Checkout Assistant as needed.
