Job Summary
Process customer transactions efficiently and accurately at the checkout lane, greeting, assisting, and thanking customers in a prompt, courteous, and friendly manner. Record items at correct prices, verify identification for alcohol purchases, and follow cash handling procedures to maintain acceptable over/short records. Participate in bagging orders, check registers for missing products, and control shrink by monitoring for theft and ensuring accurate ringing. Notify management of customer inquiries, price errors, UPC issues, security concerns, or unusual situations. Maintain a clean, orderly work area free from safety hazards and adhere to proper food handling and sanitation standards.
