Job Summary
Process customer transactions efficiently and accurately at the checkout lane while maintaining a friendly, family-like atmosphere. Record items at correct prices, verify identification for alcohol purchases, and follow strict cash handling procedures to manage over/short records. Participate in bagging orders, check registers for missing products, and control shrink by monitoring for theft and stock issues. Address customer inquiries, complaints, and unusual situations by notifying management, while keeping the sales area clean and safe. Assist in training new associates and may be scheduled as a Service Clerk, Self-Checkout Assistant, or Head Cashier based on business needs.
