Job Summary
Conduct telephone screenings with clients to provide health education on maternal and infant issues, including breastfeeding and safe sleep. Enter data into the CI&R system accurately, monitor case assignments, and manage referral follow-ups with providers and community partners. Engage with diverse families and home visiting staff to ensure timely service connections, while supporting marketing outreach and program events. Review documents for accuracy, update client records, and provide clerical assistance as instructed. Regularly report assignment completion and status to the supervisor. Requires high school diploma, one to three years of customer service experience, and fluency in English, Spanish, Haitian-Creole, French, Mandarin, Yiddish, or Bengali.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- Experience working in emergency response or high stress situations
- Experience working with the public
- Experience working with people of diverse backgrounds
- Customer service 1-3 years of relevant work experience
- Experience working with low-income families and/or families in a shelter setting
- Prior work in community outreach, early childhood development, infant feeding, and/or maternal child health
- Data collection experience
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and patient information
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to focus for long periods of time at a computer
