Job Summary
Assist customers with questions and recommendations while managing sales transactions and maintaining security of cash. Keep the store well-stocked by receiving merchandise, unloading trucks, and replenishing inventory according to productivity standards. Maintain a positive, safe environment through professional interactions, daily cleaning, and restocking bathrooms and floors. Perform other duties as assigned, including lifting between 30 and 50 lbs. and following operational documents. Part-time position located at 1303 E Colorado Avenue, Urbana, Illinois.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment
- Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents
- Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. from floor to above shoulder height
- Ability to meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting
- Excellent customer service and relationship management skills
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred
- Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred
