Job Summary
Greet customers, handle merchandise, and secure firearms with trigger locks. Process returns, complete refund paperwork, and sell hunting and fishing licenses. Administer incentive programs, promote club memberships and in-store pick-up, and assist customers in making buying decisions. Maintain a clean work area, stay product knowledgeable, and follow all company policies. Constantly stand, walk, and lift up to 20 pounds while operating the point-of-sale system.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent experience
- Ability to calculate figures such as discounts and make change to customers
- Ability to communicate in a friendly and professional manner to our customers and other associates
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with Management, coworkers and customers
- Ability to operate computerized Point of Sale register system
- Must be able to constantly stand and/or walk during shift
- Must be able to constantly communicate with others to exchange information
- Must be able to constantly repeat motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers
- Must be able to occasionally ascend or descend ladders, stairs, ramps, etc.
- Must be able to occasionally work in low or high temperatures
- Must be able to occasionally work in noisy environments
- Must be able to light work that includes constantly lifting and moving objects up to 20 pounds
- Must be able to occasionally move and lift objects up to 100 pounds or more (utilizing a team lift as needed)
- Must be able to perform tasks and duties under general supervision, using established procedures and innovation
- Must be able to choose from limited alternatives to resolve problems
- Must be able to make recommendations to work procedures, policies, and practices
