Job Summary
Brand-new gym in Somerset seeks a Customer Service and Sales Specialist to blend member services, membership sales, and front desk duties. During pre-sales leading up to grand opening, responsibilities include following up with leads (calls, texts, emails), assisting with charter memberships, guiding prospective members through memberships and amenities, and representing the gym at local events. After opening, the role transitions to a combination of member services, membership sales, and front desk operations. Responsibilities include greeting members, conducting gym tours, following up with leads, building relationships with current and prospective members, assisting with enrollment, checking in members, answering questions about memberships and services, maintaining a welcoming atmosphere, supporting gym marketing and community outreach, and light cleaning. Desired traits include friendly, outgoing demeanor, excellent communication and people skills, with customer service and sales experience preferred. Fitness-industry experience is a plus but not required; ability to work independently and as part of a team; comfortable making phone calls and following up with members. Growth opportunities include pursuing personal training certifications or coaching skills in the future.
