Job Summary
Customer Service Agent in Piedmont Airlines' Ground Handling Department assists passengers with boarding/disembarking, operates the Jetway, monitors computerized boarding, and guides/parks aircraft. Responsibilities include assisting customers with special needs (wheelchairs, unaccompanied minors), changing itineraries and seat assignments, loading/unloading baggage and cargo, operating motorized service vehicles and equipment, and providing team-based customer service to meet corporate objectives. Requires successful completion of training, ability to lift up to 70 pounds, and ability to work outside in all weather. Reports to General Manager. Employment contingent on valid driver’s license, clean driving record, 10-year criminal history check, and required drug screen. Must have proof of high school or GED. Starting rate is $16.57/hour with benefits such as paid training, holiday pay, 401(k), vacation, and family travel on the American Airlines network. Work shifts include weekends, nights, holidays, and/or irregular shifts.
