Job Summary
Provide curbside to curbside passenger support and assistance at airports before and after boarding flights. Make and change flight reservations in the computerized reservation system, check in passengers and baggage, and issue boarding passes and itineraries. Calculate additional fees, assist pre-boarding passengers for safe movement to aircraft, and provide information on fares, schedules, and routes. Facilitate safe movement between aircraft and terminal buildings while complying with Canadian Transportation Agency regulations. Work shift schedules including mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Ability to learn a computerized reservation system
- Basic Computer skills (word, excel, office)
- Must have exceptional customer service skills
- Must be able to work independently or in a team setting
- Ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure
- Must have own transportation to and from work
- Must be able to obtain and maintain an Enhanced Security Clearance qualification
- Must be able to attend and complete initial Ground School Training
- Must be able to work independently as well as part of a skilled team
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Shift work
- mornings/afternoons, evenings, and weekends
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) an asset
- Knowledge of an airline's operations an asset
- Preference given to Inuit Land Claims Beneficiaries
- Inuktitut and/or Inuinnaqtun language considered an asset
