Job Summary
Handle a high volume of incoming calls ensuring customer service quality, efficiency, and accuracy while resolving issues, determining needs, and closing sales. Maintain an in-depth knowledge of Suburban Propane products, billing processes, and delivery policies to present a professional image and develop trusting relationships. Utilize a proactive sales approach with every interaction to uncover additional opportunities and effectively manage customer account data by setting up new accounts and maintaining related information. This role supports excellent customer service, retention, and new acquisition within a nationwide distributor serving approximately 1 million residential, commercial, and industrial customers across 42 states.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a customer service role
- Solid computer skills including Microsoft Office, data entry and the ability to run and analyze reports
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize assignments in a team environment
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum of a High School diploma or GED preferred
