Job Summary

Required Qualifications

• •High school diploma or equivalent experience
• •Ability to calculate figures such as discounts and make change to customers
• •Ability to communicate in a friendly and professional manner to our customers and other associates
• •Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with Management, coworkers and customers
• •Ability to operate computerized Point of Sale register system
• •Must be able to constantly stand and/or walk during shift
• •Must be able to constantly communicate with others to exchange information
• •Must be able to constantly repeat motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers
• •Must be able to occasionally ascend or descend ladders, stairs, ramps, etc.
• •Must be able to occasionally work in low or high temperatures
• •Must be able to occasionally work in noisy environments
• •Must be able to light work that includes constantly lifting and moving objects up to 20 pounds
• •Must be able to occasionally move and lift objects up to 100 pounds or more (utilizing a team lift as needed)
• •Must be able to perform tasks and duties under general supervision, using established procedures and innovation
• •Must be able to choose from limited alternatives to resolve problems
• •Must be able to make occasional independent judgment to complete work assignments
• •Must be able to often make recommendations to work procedures, policies, and practices
• •Must be able to identify and evaluate customers' needs
• •Must be able to make product recommendations based off analysis
• •Must be able to promote programs including, but not limited to CLUB Membership, VOC, and In-Store Pick-up
• •Must be able to handle merchandise with care
• •Must be able to provide information and direction to customers
• •Must be able to greet all customers as they enter the store in a friendly and outgoing manner
• •Must be able to handle customer's merchandise returns
• •Must be able to complete refund / exchange paperwork
• •Must be able to sort returns by category and return to proper area
• •Must be able to sell appropriate Hunting and Fishing Licenses
• •Must be able to handle and administer all incentive and reward programs
• •Must be able to remain product knowledgeable
• •Must be able to remain aware of advertised sales
• •Must be able to keep work area clean, neat and well stocked with supplies
• •Must be able to follow all Company Policies and Procedures
• •Must be able to secure all firearms brought into the store with trigger locks
• •Must be able to check in all Vendor representatives
• •Must be able to complete the necessary visitor log information
• •Must be able to control the visitor badges
