Job Summary
Greet customers promptly and handle merchandise with care while securing firearms and managing vendor badges. Process returns, complete refund paperwork, and sort items by category. Sell hunting and fishing licenses and administer incentive programs. Assist customers in making buying decisions by identifying needs and recommending products, including CLUB Membership and In-Store Pick-up. Maintain a clean, stocked work area and stay current on advertised sales. Operate the Point of Sale system and calculate discounts. Perform light lifting up to 20 pounds daily and occasionally up to 100 pounds. Work in noisy environments and varying temperatures. Starting pay rate is $15.00 to $17.75. Enjoy discounts on retail merchandise, restaurants, and resorts.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent experience
- Ability to calculate figures such as discounts and make change to customers
- Ability to communicate in a friendly and professional manner to our customers and other associates
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with Management, coworkers and customers
- Ability to operate computerized Point of Sale register system
- Must be able to constantly stand and/or walk during shift
- Must be able to constantly communicate with others to exchange information
- Must be able to constantly repeat motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers
- Must be able to occasionally ascend or descend ladders, stairs, ramps, etc.
- Must be able to occasionally work in low or high temperatures
- Must be able to occasionally work in noisy environments
- Must be able to light work that includes constantly lifting and moving objects up to 20 pounds
- Must be able to occasionally move and lift objects up to 100 pounds or more (utilizing a team lift as needed)
- Must be able to perform tasks and duties under general supervision, using established procedures and innovation
- Must be able to choose from limited alternatives to resolve problems
- Must be able to make occasional independent judgment to complete work assignments
- Must be able to often make recommendations to work procedures, policies, and practices
