CUSTOMER REGISTRATION REPRESENTATIVE

Job Summary
Welcome patients warmly and assist them with the registration process, both in person and by telephone. Help patients complete required forms, answer questions about available services, and listen to concerns to connect them with appropriate departments. Conduct financial triage and process medical and dental insurance information, including screening for eligibility and collecting patient payments. Maintain accurate patient demographics and update data in the electronic medical record and practice management system. Register patients efficiently while minimizing wait times and promoting awareness of Center programs. Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to provide a seamless patient experience and complete required training in customer service and cultural sensitivity.
Required Qualifications
- 100% on-site in Downtown Los Angeles
- Mon-Fri 8am-4:30pm
- commitment of two Saturdays a month
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills with the ability to interact professionally and compassionately with patients, families, and coworkers
- Excellent verbal and telephone communication skills
- Ability to read, write, and speak English and Spanish
- Basic computer skills and the ability to learn electronic medical/practice management and telephone systems within the first month of employment
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced healthcare environment
Desired Qualifications
- One year of medical clerical or front-office experience, preferably in a healthcare setting
- Experience working with medical and/or dental insurance
- Familiarity with and/or willingness to learn insurance eligibility, financial screening, or patient registration
