Job Summary
Customer Project Manager/FSO at Materion responsible for leading execution of high-value customer projects, including scoping, scheduling, budgeting, and delivering work packages; managing quotes/proposals and aligning pricing; developing market opportunities and customer roadmaps; fostering cross-functional collaboration; and ensuring facility security with oversight of access to special areas and protection of information, employees, vendors, and visitors. Requires the ability to obtain a security clearance (DCSA background investigations) and export/compliance eligibility. Strong program-management, technical leadership, and stakeholder-management skills, with emphasis on delivering on time, within budget, and in alignment with strategic commercial objectives. Fluent English and knowledge of quality management systems are needed; optics/space industry experience and export-control eligibility are preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Education – University degree in engineering, physics or a related field of study
- Experience – Minimum 5 years’ professional experience in industry or science
- Optics industry experience – Preferred
- Knowledge, Skills and Abilities – Organizational and engineering skills, communication skills, precise working style, team player fluent English, knowledge of quality management systems
- Expertise in optics or space industry – Preferred
- Possess a security clearance or be able to get one – Preferred
- Export compliance eligibility for access to U.S. controlled technology (ITAR/EAR) and related regulatory requirements
