Job Summary
Greet customers promptly and professionally, then wrap, load, and secure merchandise into their vehicles while confirming receipt and inspecting rental vehicles for paperwork. Operate material handling equipment to move products, identify reports and UPC labels, and uncrate merchandise for inspection when requested. Maintain a clean, safe work environment by adhering to safety policies, promoting awareness, and preventing fraud. Work independently in a high-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and communicating cooperatively with the team. Requires ability to lift 50-100 lbs, work 8-12 hour shifts including weekends and holidays, and perform physical demands such as standing, stooping, and bending for eight hours daily.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to become certified in the operation of warehouse equipment
- Ability to be trained on the correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Able to have a flexible schedule and work all shifts, holidays, and weekends
- Have a strong independent work ethic
- Excellent organizational skill and the ability to demonstrate attention to detail, and accuracy
- Ability to read, understand and follow oral and written instructions accurately
- Sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on AFW's success
- Ability to prioritize tasks when appropriate
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment
- Knowledge of the correct lifting/team lifting techniques, and the ability to perform the correct lifting/team lifting techniques
- Ability to maneuver in confined and at times congested areas
- Requires the ability to sit, stand, walk, stoop, & bend for 8 hours a day
- Constant use of arms, hands, fingers, eyes, legs, and back
- Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing 50-100lbs
- Able to work shifts that are 8-12 hours long
- Ability to work 0 to 35 feet above the ground
- Able to work in various weather conditions
- Ability to work under fluorescent lighting and on concrete flooring
- Ability to work in climate affected by outside conditions and with considerable exterior noise
- Extreme temperature fluctuations in the warehouse
- A pre-employment drug screen, background and fit for duty exam check must be passed upon job offer
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED is preferred
- Prior experience operating warehouse equipment, such as forklift, pallet jack, and cherry picker
