Job Summary

Customer Integration Engineer at Wayve provides hands-on technical support to customers through the development and validation lifecycle, serving as the bridge between customer vehicle integration teams and Wayve’s internal engineering. You will troubleshoot and resolve technical issues independently, perform rapid diagnostics on development vehicles, and develop a deep understanding of customer systems and APIs (e.g. drive-by-wire) to guide internal teams. This role requires collaboration with clients and internal engineers, a system-level perspective to identify root causes (vehicle-based or software-related), and willingness to travel. The position is full-time, hybrid-based in Sunnyvale, CA or Detroit, MI, with salary between $137,300 and $187,000 plus equity; Wayve operates a hybrid policy with time in offices and workshops and time spent working from home.

Required Qualifications

  • Hands-on technical support experience in automotive or embedded systems
  • Experience with diagnostic/calibration tools (e.g. CANape or similar)
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills
  • Willingness to travel as required
  • Experience with vehicle networks/protocols (CAN, Ethernet) and vehicle system architectures
  • Ability to work with customer engineering teams and internal stakeholders
