Customer Intake Associate - Part Time

Job Summary
The Intake position serves as the first point of contact for Ayr Wellness dispensaries, welcoming patients and customers in-person and over the phone with a positive, warm demeanor. Responsibilities include processing patient check-ins and entering data into the POS system, handling front-desk duties (phones, emails, updating patient files), explaining services to new patients/customers, learning cannabis products offered, managing visitor access with Store/Assistant Manager, liaising with security, maintaining a clean and guest-ready store environment, and demonstrating strong customer service, communication, and reliability. The role requires adherence to state cannabis agency policies, ability to pass background checks, scheduling flexibility (including weekends/holidays), and prior customer service experience in retail or related settings.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 1-3 years working in a retail setting or inventory setting
- Customer service experience in a hospitality, pharmacy, customer services or retail environment
- Able to pass all background checks as required by state cannabis agency
- Able to accommodate scheduling that may include varied shifts, weekends and holidays
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance
- Demonstrated oral and written communication capabilities
- Education: High school diploma/GED required
- Experience: 1-3 years working in a retail setting or inventory setting
