Customer / Installation Engineer (India Based Job)

Job Summary
Collaborate with Senior Field Service Engineers to install, maintain, and upgrade customer equipment while performing preventative and corrective maintenance on electrical, vacuum, mechanical, plasma, hydraulic, and gas systems. Use digital analytics for troubleshooting and apply basic diagnostic techniques to assess and address technical issues. Coordinate directly with customers to ensure smooth operations and exceptional service. Fulfill additional duties as assigned and meet project organization goals. This role requires approximately 75% travel within the APAC region during the first two years, with subsequent assignment to the Gujarat region in India.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of an Associate degree, military technical training, field service experience, or trade certification
- 2 - 6 years of work experience in customer/field service support, or a related technical field
- Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics
- Experience diagnosing and resolving basic technical challenges
- Basic mechanical aptitude with pneumatics, hydraulics, electronics, vacuum, or thermodynamics
- Familiarity with hand tools and their appropriate usage, including digital multimeters
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Possession of a valid driver's license and the ability to obtain a passport, if travel is required
- Able to meet all on-site requirements, including safety, environmental guidelines, and customer/Applied protocols
- 75% travel within the APAC region during the first two years
- Following successful completion of the training and deployment phase, employees are expected to be assigned to the Gujarat region in India
