Job Summary
Guide UK startups on R&D eligibility, answer daily queries via email and Zoom, and help them build robust tax credit claims. Assist in drafting Technical Narratives, review accounts, and collaborate closely with the R&D team and tax specialists. This role supports the processing of approximately 90,000 annual claims for our Series A legaltech company, which has served over 50,000 companies since 2016.
Required Qualifications
- Accountancy, Tax or Finance background
- Financial statements & tax computations
- Financial planning and tax incentives for founders and early stage employees
- Building and growing early stage startups
- genuine passion for entrepreneurship and innovation
- excited by the opportunity to interact with startup founders every day
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience in R&D Tax Credits
- Interest in science or tech industries
- knowledge in software development
- Knowledge in bookkeeping softwares e.g. Xero, Quickbooks
- Some experience writing reports
