Job Summary
Part-Time Customer Experience Associate at Flinn Scientific will join the Customer Experience Team to handle inquiries via phone, email, and live chat, produce quotes, place orders, process PCI-compliant payments, and set up new customer accounts in the CRM (including school/district linkages). The role supports coordination with suppliers to expedite orders, manage shipments, and perform back-office tasks, with a focus on accuracy, timely resolutions, and high-volume customer interactions. On-site at headquarters in Batavia, IL, the position operates in a collaborative office environment and requires ability to stand/walk during shifts, with seasonal fluctuations in hours (20 hours/week in slower months; 30+ hours/week during busier months, July–October). Key skills include data entry, Microsoft Office, communication (verbal and written), ability to learn new systems, organization, multi-tasking, and customer-service experience. The role emphasizes independent work after training, adherence to policies while delivering a customer-first experience, and collaboration with internal teams to reduce delays and improve processes.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree preferred
- Prior experience in customer service, retail, or hospitality environments preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in computer systems, including data entry, internet navigation, and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
