Job Summary
Customer Experience Account Manager at Mueller Company supports established distribution partners and customers with stock checks, expedites, technical support, order entry, and product applications/limitations. The role serves as a liaison between territory managers and customers, collaborates with Planners and Manufacturing, and focuses on meeting customer needs via phone/email without outbound cold calls. Requires strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills; travel is minimal. Provide exceptional customer service, resolve issues through follow-up, and contribute to a productive customer-support process. Shift typically 7:00–16:00 or 8:00–17:00 with potential overtime; full-time, on-site in Decatur, IL.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years of customer service and/or inside sales experience
- Intermediate computer experience with ability to quickly learn and navigate new computer programs
- Ability to work in a team setting and gain trust and respect of various persons throughout Mueller’s various locations and customer base
- Must be customer-oriented and have the ability to make quick decisions in a professional and confident manner
- Demonstrated organizational and time management skills
