Job Summary
Field Service Engineer II responsible for installing, maintaining, and upgrading complex equipment for customers, acting as the primary customer liaison. Perform preventative and corrective maintenance across electrical, vacuum, mechanical, plasma, hydraulic, and gas systems; use diagnostic techniques and digital analytics; coordinate with customers to ensure smooth operations and high-quality service. Typical duties include startup activities through Tier II, completing qualifications with minimal assistance, executing quality repairs, addressing fab issues via escalation conferences, driving uptime improvements, following checklists and procedures, ensuring correct revisions of procedures and schematics, and maintaining customer satisfaction through clear, consistent communication. Strong emphasis on safety, IP guidelines, knowledge sharing, and proactive problem-solving in high-pressure environments with up to 20% travel.
