Job Summary
Manage laboratory experiments, analyze and document results, and draw data-driven conclusions while ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and laboratory standards. Logically organize tasks to complete assigned experiments, record output in tabulated or graphic forms, and detect anomalies in parameters. With supervisor guidance, provide technical support to sales, production, and other teams, and maintain lab supplies and calibrated equipment. Contribute ideas for new product development, formula cost reduction, and process improvements. Work safely following all EHS procedures and collaborate with production, quality, and marketing teams to ensure product consistency and alignment with customer expectations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry or a related scientific discipline
- 2+ years of experience in a technical role at a relevant company within the chemical or coatings industry
- Basic knowledge of paint making, testing techniques and colour theory
- Comprehend paint manufacturing and production processes
- Understanding of main formulating rules and principles
- Is familiar with major raw material suppliers and their technologies
- Aware of PPG and competitive product ranges and customer application practices
- Working knowledge of all laboratory and EHS procedures
