Job Summary
Check daily delivery routes, load and prepare the van for efficient customer drop-offs, and complete all vehicle safety checks to maintain road compliance. Serve as a Waitrose brand ambassador by assisting customers with their shopping, building rapport based on trust, and ensuring high-quality produce delivery. Support the wider shop team with general housekeeping and stock replenishment tasks when not on the road. You must hold a full valid B-Category UK manual driving licence with no more than 6 points, possess strong time management and customer service skills, and be comfortable with physical demands such as lifting crates. Work varied part-time hours (25 hours) across seven days between 05:00 and 22:30, with night premiums applied for shifts between 22:00 and 06:00.
Required Qualifications
- 18-years or older
- Full valid B-Category UK manual driving licence with no more than 6-points
- Great customer service skills
- Time management skills
- Able to cope with the physical requirements of the role (e.g. lifting of crates, moving cages)
- Comfortable working independently with the ability to be self motivated and adaptable
- IT literate
- Must be available for varied hours of part time work (25 hours) across seven days to include early starts, late finishes, evenings and weekends between the hours of 05:00 - 22:30
- Must be able to complete any pre-employment vetting (which may include DBS checks for successful candidates)
- Must be able to complete any financial probity checks if required
