Job Summary
Lead the execution of insight-led category growth plans for the Petfood category, aligning Mars NZ’s category vision with key retail partners. Act as the category expert, leveraging market and shopper insights and tools such as Nielsen/Circana and Quantium/Dunnhumby to develop and deliver strategies that enhance shopper experience and mutual profitability. Drive in-store and omnichannel execution, support joint business planning, and champion the Mars Perfect Store program, with hybrid work arrangements (3 days in Ellerslie office, 2 days from home). This is a 6-month contract role reporting to the Market Category Lead, focused on customer collaboration, category reviews, and growth for Mars NZ and its customers.
Required Qualifications
- Degree qualified in a relevant discipline
- Proven experience in FMCG Category Management
- Strong commercial acumen with advanced analytical and problem-solving skills
- Deep expertise in Nielsen/Circana and Quantium/Dunnhumby analytics tools
- Ability to influence and build strong partnerships, both internally and externally to deliver results
- Curious, proactive, and growth-minded individual passionate about pets and category excellence
