Customer Care Specialist I

Job Summary

Answer customer inquiries across multiple channels while adhering to service-level goals and maintaining consistent updates. Coordinate order lifecycle activities, resolve issues with internal teams, and manage daily transactional requests including sales orders and sample trials. Provide contractual obligation visibility, educate customers on terms and ordering guidelines, and document interactions in CRM and ERP systems. Build strong relationships with customers, sales reps, and internal departments while keeping management informed of unresolved conflicts. Recommend internal process improvements and foster customer self-help through website education. Work Monday through Thursday in-office in Bloomington, MN, with remote Fridays from 8am to 5pm.

Required Qualifications

  • Two years of experience in a Customer Service-related field
  • Two or more years of college education
  • Working knowledge of SICK's processes
  • Proficiency with Microsoft (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Internet applications
  • Basic understanding of ERP, CRM, and e-procurement systems
  • Basic knowledge of customer service communication channels and measurements
  • Working knowledge of standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Familiarity with government, industry, and import/export regulations
  • Ability to thrive in a team environment

  • Ability to efficiently handle a high volume of activities
  • Ability to provide an amazing customer experience
  • Ability to assist with project management, assignments, and process improvements across the team
  • Ability to maintain a thorough understanding and educate customers on SICK terms and conditions and ordering guidelines
  • Ability to manage daily transactional requests, such as sales orders, sample trials, etc.
  • Ability to acquire and maintain familiarity with government, industry, and import/export regulations
  • Ability to build strong relationships that promote trust and confidence with the customer, sales rep, distributors, and internal departments
  • Ability to keep Management informed of unresolved conflicts that adversely affect SICK customers and their experiences
  • Ability to recommend internal process improvements and customer experience enhancements
  • Ability to foster customer self-help by recommending the use of and educating on the SICK website
  • Understanding of SICK products and the industries we serve
  • Monday - Thursday in-office work
  • Remote work on Friday's
  • Schedule of 8am - 5pm
  • Location: Bloomington, MN (across from Mall of America and MSP Airport)
