Job Summary
Answer phones, make copies, perform data entry, and handle general correspondence to support Service Center Operations. Respond promptly to internal and external customer inquiries via telephone, email, and in person, acknowledging and resolving complaints while adhering to pre-determined quality guidelines. Warm transfer calls to appropriate departments and interface regarding routes, deliveries, and pick-ups, including scheduling driver appointments and assisting with freight loading or unloading. Assist will-call customers in picking up freight and ensure compliance with OSHA, Department of Transportation, and federal regulations. Work on-site as needed while maintaining excellent attendance and manual dexterity for office machine operation.
Required Qualifications
- 1-3 years Clerical Experience
- preference in the transportation industry
- Computer literacy
- Consistently maintains excellent personal attendance records
- Sit for long periods of time
- Manual dexterity to operate a computer and other office machines
- Clear and understandable speaking voice for the purposes of telephone communication
- Climb stairs
- Occasionally stoop, kneel, or crouch
- Correctable vision and hearing
Desired Qualifications
- Warehouse and WMS experience
- AS400 experience
- Dispatching experience
- Forklift certification
