Job Summary
Check-in and check-out patients, schedule appointments, and update demographic and insurance information via phone or live interaction. Verify insurance, collect payments, reconcile cash drawers, and refer patients to financial advocates as needed. Prepare and provide appropriate paperwork, coordinate interpreting services, and monitor the electronic health record inbox for follow-up. Respond to walk-in needs, scan and fax documents, and distribute mail while checking voicemails and monitoring phone volume. Float between front desk and scheduling areas as required. Regular attendance on-site Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with occasional weekend, holiday, or evening coverage. Pay is $20/hour plus Total Rewards Package. Spanish language ability is strongly preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Two years of relevant experience
- Comparable combined education and/or experience
- Regular attendance on-site
- Valid, original I-9 documents
- Flu vaccine or approved exemption
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience in a medical office/clinical environment
- Ability to speak Spanish
- Advanced computer skills as related to working with medical office software program(s)
- Experience with Electronic Health Records
- Knowledge of medical office functions including business office work flows
