Job Summary
Provide troubleshooting assistance for customer orders, account statuses, and relevant problems using a ticketing system to document inquiries and capture order information. Engage with customers professionally to build rapport and foster collaboration with vendors and the sales team to find solutions. Attend ongoing training courses to stay current on company policies, products, and resources. This role requires at least two years of phone-based customer service experience, proficiency with MS Office, and the ability to adapt to shifting priorities while managing difficult customers. Candidates must be available for five weekly shifts totaling 40 hours, typically Monday through Friday from 9:00am to 5:30pm. The position is part of WDC Kitchen & Bath Center's team, a premier retailer and builder distributor of home appliances and plumbing fixtures serving homeowners, contractors, and designers in Southern California for over 40 years.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years' experience as in a customer service role that is primarily phone-based
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite
- Good organizational skills
- Able to communicate clearly verbally and in writing, and demonstrate good listening skills
- Minimum High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to change direction as priorities shift and adapt to changing circumstances
- Ability to cope with occasionally difficult or temperamental customers
- Availability to work 5 weekly shifts totaling 40 hours per week
- Shifts are typically Monday through Friday, 9:00am – 5:30pm
- Required to wear business professional attire
