Job Summary
Remote field-based Customer Business Manager responsible for leading national account planning for UNFI Conventional, developing the annual national plan and presenting opportunities for growth, and leading joint business planning with the customer. Develop trade promotion strategies and tactical plans, monitor and update the customer’s business plan and trade budgets, conduct category business reviews, and develop accurate monthly forecasts using category management practices to link consumer and shopper trends to actionable opportunities. Manage a portfolio of Grocery brands including Hunts, Ro-tel, Rosarita and Snack Pack, with responsibilities spanning growth optimization, collaboration with decision makers and internal partners, and ensuring achievement of sales goals versus plan. Requires a Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of CPG sales experience (field and headquarters), experience with Senior Buyer level meetings, trade budgets, and P&L, plus knowledge of supply chain and negotiation skills. Remote work from home with location flexibility in Chicago, Minneapolis or Virginia. Salary range $109,000-$159,000 plus comprehensive benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- 5+ years of CPG industry sales experience
- experience leading meetings with Senior Buyer level customers
- experience managing trade budgets, spending and volume
- experience managing a profit and loss (P&L) statement
- knowledge of supply chain processes
- strong negotiation skills
