Job Summary
Customer and Trading Manager leads store operations and ensures day-to-day running of the shop, often acting as the sole manager with accountability for the full store. Works with a team to serve customers efficiently and safely, coaches and manages a team to deliver brilliant customer service, and drives performance against KPIs such as sales, availability, and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities include people management, disciplining and addressing performance or absence issues, scheduling and ensuring pay accuracy, and possibly supporting another store as needed. Strong leadership is required to operate the store and maintain smooth operations in the absence of more senior management.
Required Qualifications
- Previous line management responsibilities in a fast-paced, operational environment
- Provides brilliant customer service, and coaches a team to do the same
- Delivers KPI's or other performance indicators
- Can manage disciplinaries, performance issues or other similar employee relations issues
- Leads operations and comfortable doing this alone in the absence of more senior management
