Job Summary
Customer Accounts Advisor at Aaron's focuses on coaching customers through payment collections and lease agreement renewals, building relationships via in-person and phone interactions, and supporting sales objectives. Responsibilities include maintaining customer accounts, contacting customers with non-renewed leases, promoting timely renewals, supporting revenue goals, handling merchandise returns and guest deliveries, certifying merchandise in QA, maintaining vehicle-related records, loading and securing product for transport, operating company vehicles, assisting Sales Team, and performing other duties as assigned. Skills include empathy, strong communication, active listening, negotiation, multitasking, and relationship-building. Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent (preferred), valid driver’s license with acceptable MVR, ability to meet DOT certification requirements, flexible hours (8 am–9 pm), ability to lift up to 50 lbs (up to 300 lbs with dolly), and proficiency in computers and customer service.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred
- Two years of retail/customer service experience preferred
- United States at least 21 years old with a valid state Driver’s License and compliance with the Company’s Driver Qualification Policy; including satisfactory MVR
- Must meet DOT requirements to obtain certification in required states (United States)
- Ability to work schedule of hours varying from 8 am to 9 pm
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. without help and up to 300 lbs. with the assistance of a dolly
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- High energy with the ability to effectively perform all functions of the store and multitasking effectively
- Proper telephone etiquette
- Proficient computer skills
