Job Summary
Receive, review, and process customer purchase orders accurately, entering them into the ERP system and confirming delivery expectations. Communicate proactively with customers regarding order status, delivery schedules, and potential delays while coordinating with internal production, quality, and shipping departments. Prepare and maintain Device History Records (DHRs) in accordance with aerospace quality standards, ensuring all documentation is complete, accurate, and properly stored. Respond to customer inquiries via phone and email, support customer audits by providing requested records, and escalate critical issues as needed. Assist with continuous improvement initiatives related to order processing.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Associate's or bachelor's degree
- Minimum 2 years of customer service or order entry experience
- Experience in a manufacturing or aerospace environment
- Strong attention to detail
- Organizational skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel, Outlook)
- Proficiency with ERP systems
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Experience in handling controlled documents
- Understanding of traceability requirements
- Continuous mental and visual attention
- Ability to walk, stand, sit, talk and hear
- Ability to operate a computer
- Lifting up to 20 pounds
Desired Qualifications
- Familiarity with aerospace industry standards (AS9100, ISO 9001)
- Experience in a manufacturing or aerospace environment
