Job Summary
Customer Account Specialist responsible for serving as the primary contact for assigned customer accounts and managing orders from receipt through shipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role coordinates with Planning, Production, Scheduling, Logistics, Quality, and Sales to meet customer requirements, provides customers with updates on order status and shipping information, and resolves issues in a proactive, professional manner. The ideal candidate thrives in a high-volume setting, maintains accurate customer records, analyzes data to support operational decisions, and demonstrates strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills. Essential duties include maintaining customer records, handling inquiries and invoicing, monitoring open orders, and participating in customer meetings and site visits. Requirements include a 2+ year track record in customer service or account management in manufacturing, experience with ERP systems (preferably Microsoft Dynamics NAV/Business Central), and strong Excel/Outlook proficiency. Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree or Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent work experience will be considered
- Minimum of 2 years of customer service, account management, order management, or customer support experience in a manufacturing environment strongly preferred
- Experience supporting B2B customers and managing customer orders
- Experience working with ERP systems; Microsoft Dynamics NAV, Business Central, or similar manufacturing software preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to communicate professionally across all levels of an organization
- Understanding of inventory management, production scheduling, and supply chain processes is a plus
- Ability to prioritize, multitask, and adapt in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work collaboratively across multiple departments to achieve customer and business objectives
