Job Summary
Manage customer account information and data while processing Accounts Receivable, Collections, and Accounts Payable functions. Handle administrative tasks, data entry, reporting, and reconciliation for asset and inventory controls and purchasing. Coordinate with Customer Service Center and regional employees to ensure operational efficiencies, assist with route forecasting, and schedule daily service work, installations, and repairs. Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels by reconciling counts and investigating discrepancies. Track shipments, post driver delivery batches, and prepare reports on inventory usage and variances. Maintain compliance with company policies and safety standards. This role supports Suburban Propane's mission to serve residential, commercial, and industrial customers nationwide.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a customer service or accounting role
- Solid computer skills including Microsoft Office, data entry and the ability to run and analyze reports
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize assignments in a team environment
- Experience in inventory control
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Basic math and data analysis skills
- Basic understand and working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Background checks and drug screens are performed
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum of a High School diploma or GED preferred
