Job Summary
Review fabrication prints, then fabricate and assemble custom powder handling equipment using GTAW (TIG) welding of stainless steel and other alloys. Perform basic metal forming, machining, and finish work including random orbital sanding and high-detail polishing. Check supplied parts against assembly drawings, assemble systems per engineering specs, and attend production meetings for quoting and release. Collaborate with the team to get projects across the finish line and provide feedback on weldments and equipment. Quality work done on time is the primary measure of performance, with evaluations focused on craftsmanship and efficiency.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 3+ years of TIG welding experience with stainless steel
- Knowledge of best practices and safety with welding tools and shop equipment
- High attention to detail and pride in quality craftsmanship
- Extreme ownership — you see a project through from start to finish, no matter the obstacle
- Self-starter — you see what needs to be done and don't wait around for someone else to do it
- A team player who gets ideas and instructions across clearly and respectfully
- Basic familiarity with Microsoft Outlook and Teams
- Must be able to bend/stoop, climb stairs and ladders, squat, kneel, push/pull, lift up to 50 lbs, and use vibratory and other basic tools
