Job Summary
Use technical knowledge of specialized connectors to provide customers with custom solutions meeting all technical and regulatory requirements. Work with customers and the sales team to custom-design assemblies, review specifications, and estimate production times and tooling for quotations. Liaise with outside vendors for manufacturing value-added cable assemblies, support New Product Introductions, and travel to customer locations for implementation. Collaborate with the Quality Engineer to establish root causes and implement corrective actions. This role involves 3 days in-office, 2 days optional remote work, and 10-15% domestic and international travel.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related engineering field, or foreign equivalent
- 2 years of relevant engineering experience in Engineering Coordinator, Field Sales, Engineering Analyst, or relevant engineer role
- 2 years of experience with Product Application
- 2 years of experience with Product Specification
- 2 years of experience with Product Launching
- 2 years of experience with Project Management
- 2 years of experience with development of technical offers
- experience with cable assemblies
- experience with designing and creating modular design solution connecting HVAC and supporting building mechanicals for a large smart infrastructure customer
- experience with creating high-speed data connectivity portfolio for semiconductor OEM
- required development of a new manufacturing process to support the physical design
- experience with designing power distribution cable for a new-to-market high amperage power distribution OEM in the smart infrastructure market
- experience with designing power distribution (NVidia & Eaton)
