Job Summary
Custom Software Engineer – SAP ABAP on HANA Technical Architect role for leading enterprise SAP transformation programs. Architect and lead ABAP on HANA development using CDS Views, AMDP, and Open SQL; drive code pushdown, HANA calculation and analytic views, and performance tuning. Collaborate on data models using CDS Annotations, strong focus on database-guided development, and integration with OData Services, SAP Gateway, and Fiori/UI5. Emphasizes automation, scalability, and adherence to Clean Core principles, with responsibilities spanning design, governance, and CI/CD automation. Requires 18+ years of experience and a Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in CS/IT/ECE; 15 years of full-time education; extensive SAP HANA and ABAP expertise. Mentors teams on CDS layering and performance-aware coding practices.
Required Qualifications
- 18+ years of experience leading enterprise-scale SAP transformation programs with specialization in HANA optimization, code pushdown, and modern ABAP architecture
- Strong experience in ABAP on HANA development, including CDS, AMDP, Open SQL, and Native SQL
- Deep understanding of Code Pushdown and Database Guided Development
- Experience with HANA modeling - Calculation Views, Analytic Views, Attribute Views
- Proficiency in SQLScript, ADBC, and CDS Annotations
- Experience with ATC, SQLM, ST05, and SAT for performance and QA
- Familiarity with OData services, SAP Gateway, and Fiori/UI5 integration
- Education: Minimum 15 years of full-time education with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science/IT/Electronics & Communication
- 15 years full-time education
- Exposure to SAP NetWeaver AS ABAP and S/4HANA data dictionary integration
- 13-18+ yrs experience in SAP ABAP on HANA environments (as per description)
- Strong leadership and stakeholder engagement skills
- Passion for automation and performance improvement
