Job Summary
Conduct armed and/or unarmed foot and/or vehicle patrols of designated interior and exterior areas while monitoring CCTV and alarm systems. Control access and egress points, warn violators of rule infractions, and investigate incidents to prepare detailed reports and maintain required logs. Sound alarms or contact police and fire departments for emergencies, and aid customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous manner. Make productivity recommendations to management and assist with physical security surveys. Work Saturday and Sunday shifts with multiple schedules, including irregular shifts with little to no advance notice. Requires active guard card, 5+ years security experience, and full availability.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ Years security experience with active guard card
- Full availability to work multiple shifts and schedules
- Saturday and Sunday - Multiple schedules
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
- Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent
- Service in Military Occupational Specialty related to law enforcement, security (such as Military Police, Elite Military Forces, combat arms) or any support role in a Combat Zone
- Graduate of a Certified Public Safety Academy (military or civilian) or verified work experience in the law enforcement, adult corrections, or firefighter field
- Bachelor's degree in law enforcement or criminal justice related studies
- A minimum of 8 or more years of service in any military branch
- Associate's degree (or 60 credits) or higher in law enforcement or criminal justice with current or prior active military service
- Be at least 18 years of age, or higher if required by the state (21 years, if armed)
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to operate radio or telephone equipment and/or console monitors
