Job Summary
Analyze bid documents, renderings, specifications, and floor plans to gather data for preparing detailed time, cost, materials, and labor estimates. Evaluate this data to determine the most cost-effective solutions for both the company and the customer while collaborating with engineering, sales, and project teams. Maintain organized records of estimates and project documentation, assist in identifying opportunities for process improvements in estimating procedures, and interpret technical drawings to ensure accurate and competitive proposals.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of an Associate degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- Proven experience in estimating, project analysis, or a related role within a manufacturing or construction environment
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Knowledge of materials, labor costs, and industry standards
