Job Summary
Assemble custom probes to customer and production specifications using hand tools, soldering, and brazing. Read mechanical drawings and work instructions to perform detailed assembly, followed by product testing and calibrations. Safely operate bench and power tools while maintaining a clean, organized workspace. Assist in other production areas as needed and ensure all work meets quality standards. Monday through Thursday, 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with a 3-day weekend. This entry-level role at Palmer Wahl Instruments offers hands-on training for candidates with strong attention to detail and basic soldering knowledge to develop practical manufacturing skills.
Required Qualifications
- Strong hand-eye coordination
- Good attention to detail
- Basic computer skills
- Good communication and problem-solving skills
- Basic knowledge of soldering
- Willingness to learn and accept direction from experienced team members
- Comfortable working with tools, soldering, and temperature testing processes
- Ability to read or learn to read mechanical drawings
- Able to routinely lift up to 20 pounds
- Reliable transportation
- Dependable attendance
- Willing to work overtime if needed
Desired Qualifications
- Basic electrical wiring or electronics knowledge
- Previous assembly or manufacturing experience
