Job Summary
Precision Metal Fabrication Technician role focused on hands-on fabrication, layout, and TIG welding of aluminum and stainless steel for custom handrails and metal assemblies. Responsibilities include reading blueprints and fabrication drawings, measuring and marking, fitting components, performing TIG welds that meet appearance and structural requirements, inspecting welds, operating fabrication equipment, and maintaining safety and quality in a production environment. The position requires problem-solving, attention to detail, dependable attendance, and flexibility for overtime; first shift with occasional Saturdays.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Demonstrated TIG welding experience with aluminum and stainless steel materials
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, fabrication drawings, and dimensional specifications
- Experience using tape measures, layout tools, and precision measuring instruments
- Working knowledge of fabrication math, including measurements, fractions, and basic geometry
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve fabrication, fit-up, and welding issues independently
- Experience operating fabrication machinery and metalworking equipment
- Willingness to work overtime and occasional weekend hours when needed
