Job Summary
Operate technologically advanced machinery to apply nutrients and agricultural chemicals in customers’ fields; drive semi and straight trucks hauling fertilizer and grain; maintain and repair equipment per schedules; perform accurate recordkeeping; unload/load trucks or railcars; perform yard maintenance and related tasks; assist team members; use variable rate technology and GPS guidance for precise application; engage with customers professionally; maintain facility, equipment, and rolling stock.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to operate agricultural equipment
- Ability to utilize and operate variable rate technology and GPS guidance systems
- Maintenance and mechanical skills
- Basic computer skills
- Valid driver’s license with ability to obtain a Class A CDL with health card certification within 1 year of hire
- An applicator’s license that meets the minimum compliance requirements of the regulatory state in which the applicator operates
