Job Summary
Triage incoming bug reports and feature requests, resolving known issues autonomously and escalating novel problems with clear context. Troubleshoot data issues in relational SQL and non-relational databases, including cross-container migrations in Cosmos DB. Serve as the primary point of contact for the custom internal platform via Slack and intake boards, communicating directly with users to resolve issues and gather improvement ideas. Monitor application health, build alerting for edge-case failures, and incrementally automate recurring operational tasks to reduce overhead. Implement features, enhancements, and bug fixes using Node.js, TypeScript, React, and Azure services while participating in code reviews and sprint planning. Build and maintain user-facing documentation, FAQs, and release notes to enable self-service, alongside creating developer runbooks and troubleshooting decision trees. Write and expand automated test coverage for unit, integration, and regression scenarios. Support release management through CI/CD pipelines and assist with integrations between enterprise applications and data stores. Apply agile practices, seek feedback from stakeholders, and participate in continuous learning opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- 1-3 years of professional full-stack software development and/or IT experience
- Proficiency (not just exposure) in JavaScript, TypeScript, and Node.js
- Experience with React or a comparable front-end framework
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs and Git-based version control workflows
- Comfort with command-line tooling and debugging
- Exposure to, and comfort using, GAI development tools on at least one platform (Claude, Codex, etc)
- Strong written communication skills
- Ability to set and hold reasonable response-time boundaries with stakeholders without being adversarial
- Self-directed, proactive approach to work
- Willingness to own support and operational work as a core part of the role, not a distraction from it
- Bachelor's degree in MIS, Computer Science, Math, Engineering, or comparable experience
- Fluency in English
- Legally authorized to work in Colombia
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with Azure services (App Service, Functions, Cosmos DB, or similar)
- CI/CD pipeline experience (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar)
- Experience writing automated tests (unit and integration)
- Familiarity with NoSQL or document databases
- Experience with monitoring, alerting, or observability tools
- C# / .NET experience
- Technical writing or documentation maintenance experience
- Experience supporting production applications in a user-facing capacity
