Job Summary
Facilitate clinical simulations and skills training for adults in custody, coaching participants on alcohol and drug screening, treatment planning, and crisis intervention using a trauma-informed approach. Provide clinical supervision during sessions to evaluate skills, ensure participants meet minimum clinical experience hours per competency domain, and deliver educational classes aligned with CADC standards. Oversee candidate progress by answering questions on independent course materials and coordinate scheduling with stakeholders for all required training. Complete mandatory workshops to maintain knowledge of policies and protocols, while performing technical and administrative tasks to streamline processes and meet deadlines. Work evenings or weekends at the Snake River Correctional Institution to support the Custody to Counseling Pipeline program, which establishes a pathway for certification as Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselors.
Required Qualifications
- Clinical Supervisor must meet OAR 309/ISSR standards for Clinical Supervisor Qualifications in Addiction Treatment
- Must possess one of the following advanced addiction counselor certifications: CADC II, CADC III, NCAC I, MAC C-CATODSW, CDP, CDSII, CDSIII, ASAM
- Experience with planning, organizing, and delivering evidence-based curriculum
- Proficient in technology, including web-based communication and/or education platforms, Microsoft Office Suite, and web-based computer applications
- Ability to coordinate large, diverse groups of people
- Demonstrated success in planning, coordinating, and implementing complex projects
- Strong analytical skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must be comfortable working with adults in custody in a correctional setting and in a remote environment
- Able to maintain confidentiality and act with integrity
- Ability to handle multiple tasks with deadlines
- Must be available to work either evenings during the week or weekends, based on the facility's program schedule
- This position requires flexibility to maintain a nontraditional work schedule aligned with class and facility needs
- All Lines for Life employees must be approved to work by the Oregon Department of Human Services' Background Check Unit
